In the master key, I talk a lot about and go really in depth in the body's psychology. What I want to talk about today is actually introducing people to the fact that the body actually has a psychology, and that your mind is not just in your brain, but it exists throughout your body inside your body outside your body. And there are systems that interact within the body that have physical correspondences. They have psychological correspondences. They have energetic correspondences. And the more that we can introduce people, to those different correspondences to those different connections, or even just the idea that those different connections exist, because most people I think they look at their gut, and they think, okay, my digestive system has this issue. But they are not aware that their digestive system has energetic principles, it has psychological connections, it has connections to the other organs. So what I want people to start thinking about is their body in terms of interrelated systems. So not just interrelated systems in the sense that your lungs are connected to your large intestine. But energetic systems that say your lungs and large intestine are connected in this way, they have this kind of psychological atmosphere. So when you're having these types of mental systems, or these types of mental symptoms, they are corresponding to different actions that are happening in the body. So you can start to map them in both directions, you can start to say, I'm having this physical symptom. What does that mean mentally, what other things are happening in in my mind, what other things are happening in my body and what things are happening in my life itself, because all these are connected. And if we are separating the internal and external, by to greater margin, we're missing a huge amount of vocabulary and information that we could be getting from our body.

So we're operating almost blind, on very little information, and everything seems disconnected, but it's really not.

So it's interesting to talk about this, because my level of knowledge is very nuanced and intricate about this information. And I've, I've hinted at it on Instagram quite a lot. I've hinted at it in different places. And I've gone much deeper in the master key where we basically dismantle the body's organs, and each of their psychological connections and how their energy pathways work and how those energy pathways interconnect and what happens when there's density in certain areas energetically, and how that manifests in a certain organ, and how that manifests in your muscle tissue. So before we get too far into that, let's let's kind of take people through a type of journey. So when people first go to the gym, they kind of work out arbitrarily, a lot of times, let's say they have no, they're not, they're not athletic. This is the first time that they've gone to the gym, maybe they've done some yoga. And, and yoga is another good example where they're first introduced to their muscles, they're first introduced to new sensations in their body, whether that's muscle soreness, and they're finding soreness in a new area, where they've had pain for a long time, and they've started stretching, or they've started going to the gym now to just get in shape. And they're realizing when they do a chest press, they can actually put their mind into their muscle and get the muscle to activate on purpose. So maybe they're new to that game, they're just now starting to realize that they can activate their muscles on purpose and get their mind into there

that took me years of working out like that took me a very long time to realize that that is the thing I could really do. So I wonder went like how long does it take, it's not necessarily a length of time, it's just maybe I wasn't really exposed to that or I never played

Ryan Mintz: 4:37

with that. Obviously coming from gymnastics, I had a very high Mind Body connection. So if people were athletes, they're gonna innately have a stronger Mind Body connection. And to some extent, they may real not even realize that other people don't have that because it comes so naturally from some of those athletic activities. But let's say that it didn't come naturally or did and they have this mind body connection. So maybe as an athlete or not They now have an easier time getting their quad to flex on purpose or getting certain muscles in their shoulder or pec to flex on purpose. And they're using that to their advantage intentionally, when they go to the gym. So they're understanding, okay, I want to work my chest, and then I'm going to engage the muscles on purpose as I do these movements, to pour more energy into that area. And they found that that builds muscle faster, and, and all of that. But what people are missing, there's more layers than that, like most people, when they first start having sensation with their body, it's actually at the skin level. So they have certain levels of pain, they have certain levels of sensation, just from touch, they have certain levels of sensation, just from movement, like doing yoga, or any kind of functional movement. And most of those sensations are not very deep within their physiology. And then as they improve their they go a little bit deeper, they start to get into the muscle. And they can communicate to the depth of the muscle, basically, the larger muscle fibers that can get to flex on purpose. And they're able to send neurological signals. And they don't realize that those neurological signals are mind signals, where they're putting their mind into that muscle. And they then don't realize that their mind can go a lot deeper, just me introducing that idea that their mind can actually go deeper than the muscle is something that I hope plant a seed in some people to start exploring movement a little bit differently. So as they're going to the gym, and they're doing, let's say they've gotten into the functional movement game, they've kind of found functional patterns. So they've done some of the other biomechanics based movement practices that have brought more self awareness into how people move. So that's a really good component of what they do. But even if they're getting solutions, people are fixing the way their body feels from those solutions, those solutions still are only getting to the muscle depth, they're not getting to the energetic depths that are further where you get into the soft tissue, you get into the tendons, you get into the bones, and then deeper into the bone marrow, you get into the energy flow through that that influences how the muscles activate, that influences how those signals flow through the body. And when they can start to get their mind to those deeper levels, they have to actually interact with their tension very differently. And usually, when they're interacting with tension in their body, they're creating tension on purpose. And that's half of the equation is learning how to create tension on purpose. The other half is where do you create that tension? And where do you release that tension? And do you believe that by you creating tension on purpose that you're smarter than your body, and our body handles a lot of mechanisms all on its own, you know, there's this idea that moving habitually is a negative thing, where you're basically just allowing your body to move the way that it wants. And so when you go to the gym, you get injured, and so they assume, oh, it's because you're not moving intentionally, you're not paying attention to your body, because and because of that, you're getting back pain, you're getting shoulder pain, what they don't realize is that shoulder pain and back pain has nothing to do with how they moved. It has nothing to do with their posture, those symptoms of pain, those symptoms of bodily position have to do with dormant tensions in different locations on the body. But that doesn't actually mean that those dormant tensions are from there, sitting in that position for too long. So let's kind of flip the angle a little bit. So instead of looking outside, in, let's look inside out a little bit. We have energy that's constantly flowing through our bodies. That energy is us. When we have certain traumas, when we have certain belief patterns, when we have certain psychological experiences, that causes that energy to coalesce in locations in the body. And that will coalesce build density, and build density, right. So if you imagine this is like, how would I, let's say it's just air particles, right? So you're imagining smoke, because that's an easier visual to see. And that smoke all coalesces to form a solid. So you're turning it from, you know, gas into liquid into a solid. And that's kind of how you can visualize the energy in the body a little bit. So when you have free flowing energy, which is what we want, it's a gas that flows really easily, it's open. There's a lot of space for energy, spaciousness.

lot of those elements. And then as you focus your mind in a location, basically you have, you have a belief pattern, you have a trauma, you have a thought loop that's occurring. You have certain types of emotions that are being stirred up because of those beliefs. That causes energy to start to coalesce in various locations in the body. So maybe it coalesces behind the knees, maybe it coalesces in the shoulders, maybe it coalesces in the gut somewhere, well, when that density happens, that changes the flow and the fluid pressure dynamics in the entire body, not just on the energetic layer, that energetic layer coalesces. And that's going to have physiological mirrors at the other levels. So you'll have the body coalesce behind the knee, and that's going to infect the limb, that's going to impact the lymphatic flow behind the knee, that then in turn is going to, in fact impact the blood flow behind the knee, which is going to impact the blood flow at the hip, which is going to impact the blood flow through the gut. And so you can start to see a causal chain is a series of systems. Yeah, that kind of so. So what has happened a lot of times is Western medicine looks at a shoulder and says, oh, it must be a shoulder problem. And so everybody has learned to isolate. And they forgotten that all these things work as systems, where all of the intelligence of your cells has all of its knowledge in every single cell in the body, that individual cell know that it's knows that it's a part of an organ, that individual cell knows that it's a part of a muscle, it also knows that it's a part of a body, and it has all of those components of information. And that energy of those cells, is going to form based on the beliefs about how the body works about how the body interacts with its reality. And you then generate emotions, you then generate all these different types of energies that flow through these areas of the body. Well, if you have certain early life traumas that cause you to have early life issues, well, that might impact a psychological zone that's on the back of the hamstring, which deals with some of those early life issues or past life issues. Well, what happens you have an area on the back of the leg that deals with that trauma that you had when you were a kid that collects energy that collects energy, it coalesces, that starts to gain density in the back of the hamstring. Well, when that hamstring starts to get tight that or starts to collect energy and density of that energy that starts to manifest as a change in lymphatic flow and blood flow through that muscle that changes the neurological connection to that muscle. And you start to have a compression that happens, because that debt, that density of energy coalesces. That's going to pull on the layers above it, meaning it's going to pull and create density in the lymphatic system, it's going to create density in the blood flow, which is going to you know, like constrict the flow, and that's going to then cause a constriction in the hydration of the muscle. And that makes the muscle tight, it eventually forms calcification, when it's been like that for a very long time. And so you end up with tight hamstrings that alter your posture that changes a whole lot of things that had had its original starting point from much earlier in their life, but it has built energy for such a long time, it has gotten fixated in that direction for such a long time,

like super coalesced more and more, and you

start to see various other types of issues because those that hamstring issue has gotten tight, you see pelvic tilt issues, you start to have lower back pain, you start to have neck pain, all of these connected to to that underlying energetic tension that happened at that fundamental level. And in so that changes how people move that changes what happens when they go to the gym. So let's say that somebody had some, you know, they had fear, and that's affecting their shoulders, or it's affecting their knees, it's affecting their kidneys. So they're having hydration issues. And so you're seeing all these different maps and, and like I said, I'm not going to break down all of this stuff, if you want to learn it, you can learn it in the master key very, very in depth, it is very,

very in depth zones and places and correlations, if that's what you want,

Ryan Mintz: 13:50

totally. But I want to I want people to kind of have an idea that this there's there is a map that exists that all these things are specific, they're not arbitrary, that every time you have knee pain or shoulder pain, there is a psychological connection to that that is consistent among people. That is consistent among like circumstances. And it takes you being able to hold some certain types of symbolic understanding and it takes you being able to connect dots for and think a little bit nonlinearly. But what happens is, is these people had early life experiences or they had an injury or they had certain things that they had to protect, it causes a coalescing of energy, that causes density in an area that changes how energy flows through the body, the entire body. And that changes the fluid pressure dynamics in the body. You end up having pain, why? Where does pain come from? So pain in general is has to it starts as energy, right? So when you have a coalescing of energy, there's a there's damage to the energy body that exists. So when you have damaged the energy body or missing connections in the energy body, energy finds other pathways and builds up in those nodes in those energy nodes that are in those different cycle location reflex zones in the body. And that energy builds up. And when that energy builds up the energy instead of flowing naturally through the conduits, basically, like like a leaky pipe, it runs like perpendicular. And so it builds up. If you imagine, if you imagine a light bulb, and the light bulb, but we don't want it to be lit, we want it to the energy to flow through it smoothly, so it's not building resistance in the light bulb. Well, when you have damage to the energy body, that causes the energy to divert through the light bulb, and then that light bulb gets brighter and brighter and brighter in intensity of energy, in resistance of the energy flowing through that region. And then that builds brightness, and the brighter it is, the more pain you're experiencing, because there's just so much energy being leaked. So not only do you have energy buildup, and that causes the mirror of energy buildup in the nervous system, which is pain, right? Nervous System overstimulation. And you know, the same way itching is a nervous system signal that is a type of pain. And there are mental aspects of pain that register the same as physical pain in the body, because it's all the same thing. It's energy. And it's energy that is either building up or it's not flowing through an area adequately. And that is then going to have physical manifestation, it's going to have a physiological symptom that you can track back to the energy body, but you can track back to certain psychological elements. And you know, even if you don't know how to fix the energy body, you can look at the psychological elements and remap them and rebuild them and rewrite them so that the energy can change just as a result of doing that. And

that's really the benefit of thinking in terms of these systems. And realizing that it's not just the physical, it's also the energetic the attached to multiple psychological elements attached to you mentioned earlier alchemical elements in our conversation before this, so applying this, what is the benefit it is more, you can see that it's not all just chaos, you can see that there's order to it that and you can figure that out from a multiple entry points. So you could have a psychological thing, you could have a physical thing that you could trace to different psychological things. And it really builds this really robust map and really robust thing you can continue to refer back to until you innately just know,

Ryan Mintz: 17:45

the more we know the map, the more we understand that there is a map, the more that we gain self knowledge, right? Initially, we have very little self awareness, we have self consciousness, and we're self conscious about our body. We're self conscious about all of these different things. But we don't have self awareness, we're not aware of the energies that are flowing through our body. We're not aware of ourselves as that energy. We're not aware of the psychological makeup of how that energy flows through the body when we start to gain in that kind of self awareness. So we understand that our shoulder doesn't just hurt arbitrarily, it doesn't even just hurt because of an injury, it hurts because of the zones that exists in that area that are influenced by the energy that's coalescing somewhere in our body, that it is causing that change in energy flow, which is changing the lymphatic flow through the armpit through the collarbone, which is causing a compression maybe in the pack. And that compression in the pack is due to that coalescing of energy somewhere that you can find. And that's causing the shoulder to internally rotate that's causing the lat to compress that's causing the rib cage to compress on that side. So they're not able to breathe as deeply as they should be. They're not able to breathe into their diaphragm correctly, they're not able to anchor their breath, they're having anxiety, all these different things, not because their posture is wrong, but because the energy that influences their posture isn't flowing correctly. So as we talk about these things, what I want to introduce people to is is starting to think, okay, I keep having this reoccurring knee injury or I keep having this reoccurring ankle injury or I keep having my wrists hurt or I keep having my elbows hurt or I keep having my lower back hurt. Maybe it's not the way I move. Maybe there's some other psychological element at play. Can I start Can I trace it for myself? You know, if they're not ready to join the master key and really go deep into the stuff and all the other stuff that's in there? Can they start to at least pay attention to that can they start to realize okay, what if there was an energetic influence? What if I started to feel my body as energy in all of these different areas that feel tension? Can I go into that area with my mind and instead of worked like trying to turn the muscle on being like okay, maybe the muscles unstable on any to make it stronger thing in terms of the fact that the body is already intelligent thinking in terms of the fact that the body is already Be strong. And it is absolutely those things even if you've never exercised before, when you can think of that, then you have to go to a different different layer of awareness to trace what's actually going on. So is strength from maximal tension, or a strength from energy flow through the joints. And so most people assume that they have to engage their muscles really, really hard and create as much tension as possible to move a lot of weight. And this is not entirely true, it's been their truth, because they didn't know there's deeper levels. But the more that you can densify, the more that you can actually open the joints, you can actually use flows of energy to produce force at much greater levels without needing to effort in the same way.

Annie Earhart: 20:45

So we went to the gym right before recording this for the first time. And since moving and we were playing with these principles, this these density densification principles as you are moving, wait,

Ryan Mintz: 20:59

so I will get into that. So for people who don't know a little bit about my background, I taught movement for over 20 years, I was an elite level gymnast, I coached all over the world. And I judged all the way up to the regional and national level. So I have a very strong backward background in in movement. I taught functional movement, I taught spirals for a while I taught breaking a lot of these things down before it led me down. Well, I had a whole bunch of injuries, tore my bicep broke my back, torn both ankles to shreds. So I had a lot of different aches and pains for a very long time and learn to fix them through learning, functional movement through mobility work through end range strength, right. And there's a lot of these ideas in functional patterns and in mobility, especially like functional range conditioning, and some of these different modalities that have become popular is things run stable, we need to stabilize them. And what that leads people to do is create a lot of tension in their body. And they and what I found with a lot of these functional trainings is initially they create really tremendous transformation in the body, they change how you feel the body, they allow you to get your mind into certain areas, or hold your awareness among multiple areas simultaneously, which is really, really beneficial to expand your consciousness in that way just to be able to hold your body. But it's not the end, what ends up happening is it makes you afraid to move outside of those pre determined criteria. And then you're hyper aware of all those different things. And that's really good for your awareness initially, but it ends up actually getting you stuck. And that's not to say you should skip it, because you need that type of self awareness, you need to be able to get your mind into these areas. But what ends up happening is you become stressed about your movement, you end up becoming afraid to move, you end up becoming afraid of pain. And when that happens, your body naturally starts to protect itself. Even if that's subconsciously you end up starting to protect yourself and then you're constantly needing to fix tension by re tensioning instead of learning to release tension entirely.

Annie Earhart: 23:08

That doesn't mean locked down, relax. That's it's a very different concept.

Ryan Mintz: 23:12

Exactly. So that's what I was gonna say was you, you don't just release your structure. There, there are different layers to how these things work. So you can actually release the grip of the muscle around the bone. So the muscle itself grips to the bone as opposed to it being fixated in in a specific direction.

Annie Earhart: 23:35

And you can feel that you can feel that Exactly, yeah, I'm still practicing. But like, I know that you've gotten to these levels to where you can actually feel the muscle different from the bone.

Ryan Mintz: 23:44

So you go that deep, and then you're able to actually release that grip. And what happens is, as you start using, you don't end up not using any muscle, the muscles still activate, but the way that they activate is fundamentally different. They they open and de densify in that sense, you can bring your mind in there and open their grip in certain areas. And when that happens, you can produce a tremendous amount of additional force into whatever it is you're touching, basically. But it changes how your body integrates. Because now you're not saying, hey, body, I know more than you I'm smarter than you, even though you have no clue of the trillions of actions that your cells are taking to keep you alive. And if you had to consciously be aware of those Udall you'd be dead in two seconds. So many people don't realize how intelligent the body is with how it maneuvers energy with how it interacts with your energy and how it fulfills your beliefs. And so what I've learned is that you can take these functional movements that are that are good, but they eventually just create another pattern, they create another pattern of tension. And ultimately, what we want to do is to get out of the way is to allow the body not to hold tension at all. It doesn't need to hold any tension, it can release all of its tension entirely. We Then allows a deeper level of interconnection to exist that holds it together,

Annie Earhart: 25:05

it makes me think of like, Is it just a container of those air particles that we were talking about like is that kind of how you could visualize it,

Ryan Mintz: 25:14

it's almost like if you imagine the body as a water balloon, like the entire body is filled with water. And, and what happens is you squeeze, you know, you squeeze the leg in, that creates increased pressure in the arm, or you squeeze the core in a certain way. And that causes the, you know, your left side of your rib cage to have additional pressure, but the right side of the rib cage has a little bit less pressure, right. And so you're changing the fluid pressure dynamics. And so when you create tension in the body, that's effectively what you're doing. You're you're winning, create dormant tension in the body, you're creating pressure zones, and the lack of pressure zones. And while you think, Oh, that makes a lot of sense for biomechanics, so they're using Fibonacci, and they're looking at the external biomechanics, they're not looking at how energy flows as a result of gripping the body that way. And they're so used to people holding tension, we have so much stimulus from our phones, so much stress from blue light from, from stress from daily life in general, that most people don't even you know, just go into the gym is stressful. It and being alive right now is stressful, because there's just so much EMF around that people are stimulated to a very high degree. And most people don't know how to anchor the breath, they don't know how to, you know, energize that their kidneys, and have the kidneys be able to replenish their body adequately. And then that changes how their liver works. And that changes all these other systems start to connect,

Annie Earhart: 26:38

let alone their range of their nervous system and emotional range. And all that stuff, they get go on the fret really easily,

Ryan Mintz: 26:45

there's a lot of things to be aware of. And most people don't even like they they have set their baseline for what is stress is so stress, they don't even know that they don't even realize that they're stressed. So even when they go to relax, they're still so stressed and so anxious that they don't even realize that they have all these different things going on. And that each of these things has organ correspondences. So when they have anxiety, when they have depression, when they have various illnesses, they have organ correspondence, they have, you know, there are certain energies that are in balance or out of balance within those systems of organs within those areas of the body, those energies get out of balance, you get physiological signals, as a result of that, that you will feel when you know what signals to read. And most people just have so many signals simultaneously, that they haven't they have too much noise like they can they're paralyzed by that, yeah, they can't get down to the other levels of the things that are going on. It's self awareness isn't easy. If it was everybody would have it. And it's not something that you just it's not information wokeness it's a different level of self knowledge of how your body works, and the signals that your body gives you. So we went to the gym today. And we had taken some time off, which was really good for healing. And especially for me who I was used to, like when I did gymnastics, I was training six days a week, six hours a day, and for years on end. And then at the gym, I was always running chronic stress hormones, and was just beating my body up I had kidney stones a whole bunch of times and, and which was really valuable now with what I teach because now I see all the connections between stress and the kidneys and depleting the kidneys and how those different mechanisms of fear lead to the kidneys producing kidney stones and how that alters lymphatic flow and will show up in the knees, it will show up in the shoulders. It's fascinating to trade, it'll show up in the posture. All of those things come as a result of this. And so I had to go through that in order to learn some of this vocabulary. And going to the taking some time off at the gym. It's funny like growing up, it was something I always vowed that would never happen no matter how many times my dad said there's no way I'll take time off the gym. There's no way I'll get out of shape. And it was actually really good to take that time to heal. My soul was working on other things I was building the master key I was focusing my energy elsewhere, I was allowed doing a lot of work to release tension to learn my energy and build those different energy storage centers and the different energy pathways and, and practicing other things with my body. So it was really fascinating having done all of this just completely different work. And now taking this to the gym where taking that much time off, you would think you would lose a lot of strength you would think you'd lose your mobility you would think you would lose like lose your certain connections to things now of course I have muscle maturity and things just because I had done it for so long.

Annie Earhart: 29:48

Sure. And I looked over while we were sitting on the mats, doing some mobility stuff and he was just he just popped into the splits cold so yeah, there's muscle maturity and muscle remembering of how things go. But but

Ryan Mintz: 30:01

that's not even what was kind of cool about this, we didn't do a particularly crazy workout, some functional patterns, stuff and movement, in general to get lymph moving that kind of thing. Initially, the difference in being able to produce force through a relaxed tension, it's, it's an interesting game, because you can produce significantly more force, especially when the weight of the thing that you're pushing. So let's say that you are doing a let's keep it simple cable crossover or cable step and press. And usually the tension from the cable is going to run diagonally through your body down into your your feet, and you're feeling the engagement in your shoulder, you're feeling the engagement in your pack, you're feeling the, you know, the transverse abdominus, pull in and the rib cage expand, and you're reciprocating the rib cage, and you're feeling all of these different things in as tensions in the body that you're trying to hold your body in the right position as you do this step and press and reciprocate from the ribs in the right way and keep the the hips square in the right way. And you're creating these tensions in the body. And what I was exploring was, how much tension Can I actually release? How can I keep my body in the right position without creating all of this tension on purpose, but to trust that my body knows how to distribute tension evenly? And so how do I take that force that's being applied to my hand, and instead of that force, driving all the way through my joints all the way through my body, creating muscle tension to try and hold and brace against it? How do I relax completely? Not even relax? How do I release completely? Because it's not a relaxation? How do I release completely so that that force stops at my hand. So not only does the force stop at my hand, it doesn't necessarily feel as though it travels through my body, it's against my hand, and it's against my, against the earth. So all that energy goes into the ground, and all that energy stops in, in in my hand. And what that allows me to do is produce a tremendous amount more force into it without my body falling off balance without my body needing to brace without all these things. So imagine this you are going to produce, you're going to do a unilateral exercise of some kind. So across the body. And normally when you do that, you're you have a core engagement. So let's say you're even just doing so it's like one handed something one handed something or you're doing a twisting core exercise of some kind. And you're usually told to brace in a certain way anti rotate, like, let's say it's not even anti rotation. Let's say it's a, you know, you're bracing our legs and you're doing rotation. And

so you're standing there with a cable in both of your hands and you're twisting, like okay, so

Ryan Mintz: 32:49

So let's say that you're doing that. And the natural thing to do in that scenario is to brace your core and brace your legs and hold yourself stable as you do these things and squeeze as hard as you can. But what if you relaxed everything what like because what happens so many people's self protect so many people self protect, you know, so not only are they bracing because the exercise but they're bracing because of fear of hurting themselves. They're bracing because of I've experienced that a lot fear of like not holding their body together as if their body is so flimsy, that it's just going to rip to pieces if they allow those those things to relax. And there's so much propaganda around hypermobility because people have no idea what hypermobility actually is. And I might talk about that sometime. But the the hypermobility is not too much range, the range of motion and not enough strength that actually has to do with the liver, and the spleen. And there are some energy things that happen there. And when when those are out of whack, that's going to lead to the mind having trouble getting into those regions of the body to actually create engagement,

I wanted to talk about that too. So we'll put up we can put a pin in that like talking about getting your mind into the body and places where you can't.

So that's a practice in and of itself. But continuing with what I was saying was, let's say that you're doing this, this core exercise and most people are used to really strongly engaging, and learning to completely relax to produce the same amount of force is really difficult, because what's going to happen is you'll relax one area and that tension will drop to another and you'll feel that tension change. And then you'll relax that area and then it'll drop to your hips in a certain way. No, you'll engage. So getting that tension to completely release so that it drops all the way into the floor stops in the hand is not easy to do. It takes a lot of awareness and you need to be able to get your mind into those areas. And literally allow them to release or encourage them to release. So doing these kinds of exercises. Going back to it is really interesting because allowing these things to release not only am I able to produce a lot more force, but I am a lot less fatigued because other layers of energy are doing the work of movement. I'm not wasting a lot of my muscular energy and doing that that Force production. Now then there's a trade off, right. So if you're trying to build muscle, if you're trying to do these things, you, you have a level of physiological armor that you've built through exercising conventionally. Now there's different, there's different approaches, right? If you're trying to build muscle, getting your mind into the muscle, what's happening, I'm putting my mind into my bicep, when I do a bicep curl, I'm thinking flex the muscle to get the joint to move. And what is actually happening when I do that my mind is going into the bicep, I am sending a signal into that bicep. And because my mind is focused there, and I'm sending a signal into it, there's another layer happening of energy that's coalescing into that muscle. Because not only is that energy coalescing, but I believe by coalescing that energy by focusing my attention by bringing energy into my bicep, it will build muscle, it'll, it'll, it'll give it a progressive overload, that will eventually cause the muscle to break down in such a way that it knows that it needs to get stronger. So there's an innate intelligence in that activation. So now as I focus on the bicep, I bring energy into it, I bring neurological stimulation into it that expands. So what is expanded, while the energy pathways have expanded, because your mind got into that area, as the energies pathways expanded, the physical region can also expand, you end up then growing your muscle? So is it the fact that you have exercised your muscle to a large enough extent? Or is it because you brought your mind into it, and then energy flows where your attention goes? So are you bringing your mind into that area, you're bringing energy into that area, that energy is coalescing, and expanding that has a physical response that says neurological signals improved to that area, hydration improves that area, because where your mind goes, your blood flow also increases. So you're increasing blood flow to that area, you're increasing lymphatic flow to that area to pull toxins away from it. All of these things improve and guess what happens, your muscles grow, not because you did a million reps, but because your mind was in the right place as you were doing those reps.

So instead of letting the weight move your muscle, you're more using your mind to move the energy, which then moves the muscle. So the weight is just a feedback, just feedback, do you think it's possible to move your body like, is it? Do you think it's possible to get so aware of the energy that is coursing through you as you that you do not use the pathway of using your muscles to move anymore? Like you're just using the pathway of energy and attention?

Absolutely. That's what I you know, anytime we do some of the energy exercises that I do, when when I feel like error, that's what I have done.

different enter internal martial arts. There we go. Yeah, right. So understanding from the standpoint of how energy energetic principle energy flows to the body, and how to release and, and how to anchor the breath, and how the different types of energy that can flow through your body, how they can actually have an influence on other people's physiology. So as I create an expansion or contraction in energy in my body, I can influence an expansion or contraction in my body, when we're doing these exercises, that understanding can be translated to fitness, in general into the body. And these are all really important things to know. Because when you cannot, let's say that you're doing these exercises that we've been doing as partners, if you cannot get certain things to release, there is a relative tension or relative relative relative sentences. So no matter how released you think you are, if someone is more released, they will feel as though you have a lot of tension in your body.

Annie Earhart: 38:54

I laugh all the time at this because you're you're quite a bit more advanced than I am in the releasing of this kind of tension. So no matter how amazing I think I'm doing at releasing this relatively, you're always more released than I am. So a relatively it's much easier for you to find my points of tension and push on those and take me off my feet. It's fascinating.

And this is not to say that people need to learn to that level. But what I want to lead people through especially if they already go to the gym, this is a great place to explore different approaches to tension within the body. So that when they go to the gym, can I do these movements actually through the entire movement with the same amount of weight so don't you know don't drop your weight to nothing to try this keep the weight the same. And see when you do a chest press Can you relax the muscles even more even more deeply as you do some of these movements and it will teach you a lot and I don't mean I keep using relax but I don't mean relax because I don't want you to like I don't want you to be doing ah As pressing completely drop your arms limp and hurt yourself, have you dropped the weights, that's not the point the weight should not drop. So it's not relaxation, you don't want to drop your structure, it's a release, within from inside out, it's an expansion or a deep densification from the inside out, so that it feels kind of like relaxation, because the muscles aren't gripping as much, but you're not losing your structure. So you could be moving and doing a chest press. But instead of having all of this muscle gripping in your arms and in your chest, and in your core, as you're doing it, you release those and still continue to do the movement. And in response to the thing you asked earlier, can you control your body with telekinesis? Absolutely, this is what it effectively ends up as it does end up being telekinesis because what's happening is you are using your energy to telepathically control your body through intention. So let's say that you are up against the wall and you want to push up against the wall, if you go and put your hand up against the wall, and then right as you go to push, so let's say you're just going to try and push your hand up against that wall. When your brain sends the signal to push up against the wall, there is a moment where there's another signal that reaches the hand that reaches through there. That is the intention to move the hand towards the wall. So let's say the hand was an inch away, and you want to go to touch the wall. Well, when you go to do that movement, you will feel an energy rush through the hand from the brain, there's a there's a sequence of signals that happens before the hand even moves. And when you start to explore that level of detail. When you go to to push into the wall, you can see your intention to push up against the walls separately from the action of muscle engagement separately from how the hand moves. And then you can see the sequence of events that is happening physiologically as you go to do them. That then translates to things like actual telekinesis that translates to producing force on objects without you physically needing to engage the muscles to try hard to do it. It's very cover intuitive, because internal energy, especially the stronger the energy, the less strong it feels. And so it's a lot of times when you can really get out of the way when you can really be open, you feel like you're not producing force at all on something but the thing just moves like you wouldn't believe the way that we understand our physiology is very physical, meaning we're used to producing force through effort through trying really hard and we assume that more energy must have more stimulation. But the truth is, the stronger energies actually have a lot less stimulation, what is what is happening, and you see this in like psychedelics and when people are first introduced to energy, whether it's Reiki or psychedelics, or any of these things where they start to have energy flowing through them, they think more is better. Well, they think stronger. No, they think what more is better, but they think more equals more stimulation. So what has happened is they they go to Iosco or they go to something that brings a lot of energy through maybe they even just go to some kind of ceremonial circle of some sort. Yeah, and they're doing breath work. And they start to feel all this energy moving from from doing breath work. And they assume that because they're so overstimulated, there must be a lot of energy flowing. But what is really happening is they haven't brought any more energy through their body what is what is happening is their nervous system is getting overstimulated, there's more information that is stimulating the nervous system, and they've associated Nervous System stimulation with energy. And the problem with that is it doesn't allow them to get to the next level, because they keep looking for that bigger and bigger thing. They're like, Oh, well, I'm not getting as much energy coming through my body anymore. I can't get that sensation to happen. Is my body shut down? Is it not feeling energy anymore? And that prevents them from actually realizing how this stuff works. So

right there, when you said body shut down, sometimes it does, because it ends up getting short circuited if it's if the body is kind of like a circuit idea energetically, right? So if you go to i o wasco, you get short circuited because there's so much flowing in in your body like protect itself. The other thing that can happen is gradually over time as you do energy work, the energy feels softer and more velvety and smoother.

Ryan Mintz: 44:20

It's not even that like it doesn't, I wouldn't even say that softer and velvety. It's that when your nervous system has been prepared for the throughput of energy, there's not as much resistance it's like the pipes have opened up so that when energy is flowing through, it's not over stimulating the nervous system, it's not producing too much heat, there's not friction with how that energy is, is interfacing between the energy body and the physical that change that evolution. Sometimes you get a big throughput of energy to open up the system. Sometimes that throughput of energy overloads the system and causes it to shut down. It causes damage a lot of times, especially psychedelics and those kinds of things, when they Are siphoning a lot of energy through the body. It does cause a shutdown, because of how it counterfeits expansion it makes people think that more of that energy coming through more of that stimulation is a good thing, and ends up causing the body to shut down when they're not on those psychedelics. And part of what I try to teach the the master key is how do you rebuild the structures so that you can come in contact with with these energies, so you can translate them so that you can interact and interface with them in a way that is natural, as useful as progressively built? instead of just having this valve that turns on and suddenly you're plugged into a light socket? How can you acclimate your body to the flows of energy, how can you know where energy is flowing or not flowing through your body. And as that develops, energy gets more subtle, it gets much more subtle, like there's a lot more detail and information contained in the energy that you feel, but it's not overstimulating, it's not like a, it's, it's not buzzy. It's not buzzy. It's not a river flowing through you, like you feel in some of those circumstances. That is just overstimulation. And that's Nervous System activation, it's not real useful energy. So you can't have all this stuff, you it's

not usable, you're just like a leaf in the wind, that getting just pummeled,

you're not to be able to build your dantian the container to hold energy in your body, you're not gonna be able to build the energy storage systems. If anything, you're going to kind of break those structures apart, just because the amount of Yang energy and things that ends up coming through at that stage. And so you can't take all of this flow and somehow coalesce it for use, it just ends up over saturating your circuits, which to some degree might be useful if you have a lot of compression in that energy, like shake it loose as initially. You mean, like if that even happens? I mean, people like the idea of that, you know, they want to believe that these purges and they're breaking these things apart in the same way they like myofascial release, that they're breaking these things apart. But why does it not fix the problem long term? Why do they keep needing to do it? Well, the same reason that you keep doing myofascial release are the same reason you keep having to go back to wasco is because you haven't actually fixed the underlying issues with the energy body, all you've done is is you've seen a build up and you've moved the build up but you haven't fixed the problem that was causing the build up in the first place you haven't located where that build up is, you haven't looked at the psychological elements that are influencing that build up the mind elements that are influencing that build up so that when you do various types of energy work, that you're actually making progress, that you're not like just doing myofascial release over and over again, because your body's not releasing, you actually learn how to de densify the energy in that region, you cleared the psychological programs and reprogram them, whatever that means. It depends on the organ, right? every organ system has different psychological elements, there's different reflex zones in the body that have different vocabulary, those different pieces of vocabulary are going to give you a map, so that you can basically say, Okay, I'm feeling this tension in my body, that means that's connected to this element water element that's connected to this psychological program, maybe you're having trouble, you don't believe you're receiving enough love. And so that's showing up in as grief that's showing up in your lungs that's showing up in your large intestine as IBS and you're having a lot of different symptoms. And so you can use the mapping of the body to find what your psychological symptoms are. So you you know, something already, you know that you have gut issues, you know, that you have, there's always an entry point so you know that you're having the anxiety you know, that you're having, You're overthinking, you know that you are having knee pain or shoulder pain or weakness in a certain area, and that gives you that gives you a place to look you're clenching your jaw, and that gives you a place to look for look following the map to find Okay, so if I have clenching here, that is this type of this TMJ is connected to these organs that's connected to these psychological behaviors that's connected to clearly these stressors in my life. And maybe it's still subconscious and there's color puncture, and different things that you can do to bring these this more detailed information to the surface. But what it does is it gives you a map so that you stop trying to fix your shoulder by just digging in with massage, but you start to say, Okay, my shoulder is showing up because I have these fears in my life that that are you know, I'm being called to start this new program, and I keep hesitating, or I'm being called to speak up more at work, and I keep hesitating, or I have these different fears or I want this out of my relationship, but I'm not speaking up. So what I wanted to do rather than kind of keep going too far into this, what I wanted to do today was just introduce you to the fact that there are more layers. I'm sure we'll dig more into this as we go further into the podcast.
